We’ve kept things simple and flexible, so you can shape the day your way. There are a number of outdoor ceremony spots on the reserve — each one peaceful, open, and surrounded by natural beauty. After the ceremony, everything flows up to The Homestead — a modern space with sweeping views and an easy, indoor-outdoor layout for your reception.
There’s no rushing. You’ll have time to set up the day before, enjoy your full wedding day, and wrap up the next morning.
The Homestead offers 11 en-suite bedrooms, ideal for the wedding party or close family. For additional accommodation, Karkloof Safari Spa — located nearby on the reserve — can host up to 32 guests across 16 private villas. Each villa includes a king-size bed, luxurious bathroom, and private patio with a view of the surrounding landscape.
Optional accommodation is also available at Mangari (sleeps 21) and Thorndale Cottage (sleeps 8), perfect for wedding parties or family groups who want to stay close.

We have a number of outdoor ceremony sites available featuring different landscapes within the private reserve, each with uninterrupted views of the valley. Most couples choose a space in the veld or on the deck at The Homestead — both offer breathtaking backdrops for your vows.
How many wedding guests can the venue hold?
The Homestead can accommodate 150+ guests for weddings and private functions.
How many guests can stay overnight?
The Homestead includes 11 en-suite bedrooms for overnight guests. Just down the road, Karkloof Safari Spa offers an additional 16 private villas (sleeping up to 32 people). For guests who prefer self-catering, we also offer nearby off-site options: Mangari (sleeps 12) and Thorndale Cottage (sleeps 8).
Can we host a rehearsal dinner or morning-after brunch?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to plan a pre-wedding dinner or post-wedding brunch at The Homestead. Please note that all catering is handled at your own expense, and you’ll need to liaise directly with your chosen supplier.
What happens if it rains?
The Homestead has a large covered veranda with ample space for ceremony or reception setups in the event of bad weather. If you’d prefer a tent on the lawn, you’re welcome to hire one from your supplier of choice.
Do you offer catering?
We don’t offer in-house catering, but we do have a list of handpicked, trusted caterers for you to choose from. These caterers can accommodate a range of dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and Halaal-friendly options.
Is on-the-day coordination included?
We do not provide an on-site wedding coordinator. We require that all couples appoint a professional planner or coordinator to manage the logistics of their day.
