At Karkloof, our 3000 hectare reserve isn’t something separate — it surrounds you. You’ll see wildlife from your villa, your spa treatment room, or the winding road into the property. And if you feel like venturing out, we offer guided drives and walks into the heart of it all.

Our private reserve is home to giraffe, rhino, zebra, buffalo, warthog, and more. Birdlife is abundant, with fish eagles, louries, and sunbirds appearing daily, and if you’re quiet, you may even spot a serval or jackal slipping between the grasses.

One of our most-loved experiences is the walk to the Karkloof Falls. Tucked deep in the forest, it’s a beautiful way to reconnect with the land, and with yourself.
